Fuck This is the brainchild of Nicky Melville and bastard love child of Ivor Cutler. The songs are satirical commentaries on the last Tory government and the current Labour government. Among other things they cover welfare, warfare, Scotch eggs, covid and the Prevent strategy. Fuck This is taking the piss in the wind of our Fortean Times.

Dom Hale is an editor of Ludd Gang, the magazine of the Poets' Hardship Fund, and Chaff Press. Recent books include First Nettles (The Last Books, 2025), Faint Portal (Distance No Object, 2023), and Mud Ramps (Gong Farm, 2025), a collaboration with the poet Tom Crompton. He lives in Manchester.

Oli Hazzard is the author of three books of poems, Between Two Windows, Blotter and Progress: Real and Imagined, and a book of literary criticism, John Ashbery and Anglo-American Exchange: The Minor Eras. Lorem Ipsum, his debut novel, is published by Prototype. He lives in Glasgow, and teaches at the University of St Andrews.

Daisy Lafarge is a writer based in Glasgow. She is the author of the novel Paul and the poetry collection Life Without Air, both published by Granta. Lovebug, a book on the poetics of infection, was published by Peninsula in 2023. Her second novel is forthcoming next year.

Alex MacPhail is a Highland poet-painter living in Glasgow. They practice painting and printmaking at the Glasgow School of Art. This is their bio.

Donations: A zine with work by the readers will be available on the night, for a donation towards North Gaza: Food, Water & Other Distributions; a fundraising campaign organised by Translating Falasteen (Palestine) in collaboration with the Sameer Project, launched to support families in Gaza facing severe harships. The aid is being bought from existing products in the market and is NOT being brought through any border. A QR code and link to the campaign will be shared on the night and you can also donate directly here: https://chuffed.org/project/help-us-deliver-vital-aid-to-gaza-families-in-need.

Access: The Doublet upstairs bar and toilets are not wheelchair accessible. Seating is first come, first served, but if you have access needs for seating, email us at spamzine.editors@gmail.com and we will reserve.
