**>>ANJELI CADERAMANPULLE is on the MLitt in Creative Writing at Glasgow University. Most of her work is centred on popular culture and experimentation. She is currently editing the first issue of MeetCute Zine, which looks at the impact of the romantic comedy film genre.
**>>NASIM LUCZAJ likes to think of herself as the main representative of the phone note genre. On the side, she prints poemy books, makes wordy electronic music, and scans daffodils.
**>>PATRICK MCCAFFERTY is interested in the poetics of sport and exercise. His pamphlet, Mestizaje,was published by erbacce press in 2017 and he was formerly an editor at RAUM poetry.

Two crazy young French guys who’ve landed in Glasgow with a sound caught between Disclosure, LCD Soundsystem and Zombie Zombie. Their analogue electronic sound and incredible live shows have scored them a solid position in Glasgow’s underground DIY scene, and they’ll be bringing an eclectic set to take that energy OFF THE PITCH and onto the dancefloor.
***>>SAVAGE MANSION:
Savage Mansion is a vehicle for the songs of Perth-raised singer and guitarist Craig Angus. Since starting out making music originally as Poor Things, Craig has become heavily involved in Glasgow’s DIY scene, assisting various bands, putting on gigs and hosting all-dayers across the city. It’s out of that creative fervour and energy that Savage Mansion has emerged – as a vehicle for Craig’s effervescent speak-sing slice- of-life songs, abetted on record and at shows by a revolving cast of musicians typically including Lewis Orr on drums and Andrew McPherson and Jamie Dubber from Catholic Action on second guitar and bass (former drummer Taylor Stewart features on the record and remains the band’s spiritual guru). Revision Ballads also features backing vocals from Scottish Album of the Year nominee Martha Ffion, whose single ‘No Applause’ / ‘Lead Balloon’ was released via Lost Map in 2015, and with whom Craig performs as guitarist in her live band.
Revision Ballads wears its influences from the Velvet Underground, Neil Young, REM, Pavement and Parquet Courts proudly on its sleeve, and represents the first complete statement yet as to what makes Savage Mansion such a loud, loose and endlessly entertaining proposition. From the ferociously melodic likes of ‘Bring Down The City Hall’ and ‘Nudist Beach’ to deceptively easy-going earworm about confronting a childhood tormentor ‘Elwood’, ‘Dog O’ Tears’ rambling response to living in an increasingly xenophobic society, and the final climactic bone-rattling shake of ‘Older and Wiser’, Savage Mansion are the heart and the soul and the kick-in-the-arse call to action every self-respecting DIY scene needs.
As massive fans of astroturf and verbal communication, Savage Mansion are thrilled to performing at the latest SPAM party, at which they’ll debut some new material and perform more familiar songs too.
Long suffering Subcity Radio Queen Boosterhooch will push you beyond half time with her seasoned fielding skills and many, many pink records. Ask her about that one time she was on NTS or deejayed in China. In the meantime, you can find her at ‘it’s too hot to sleep’ nights @ Art School, or probably doing press interviews about that one time she was on NTS. ❤
